Help Me Spend My $45k Inheritance

You Are Here- Point A

Here’s the deal… I’m soon coming into a $45k inheritance. I know it’s not a lot of money. I also know that there are multitudes of you out there who’ve come up with some pretty awesome solutions to challenges of this nature.

I’m a divorced 43 year old mom of 2 teens and live in northern Wisconsin. I don’t own anything of value and I rent a small apartment. Although I have nothing saved and live paycheck to paycheck, I’m proud to say that that is where I am today, above water mostly. Not the case for a long time…

Where’d you like to go, ma’am?- Point B

My future dream plan is this… I’d like to own a small 3 bedroom home on 20–30 acres, to accommodate an equine boarding facility (future source of income). I grew up with horses and have a couple now (but have to board them, one of my own and my daughter has one also).

Ideally, my home would be a Formworks home (been dreaming about a nest egg home for 20+ years). The energy efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, and overall long-term cost savings definitely are a draw here.
