How about swearing your child to secrecy about something that could affect their entire lives and relationships (and possibly the lives of their future children)? I can understand the parent's desire to have it kept secret, but also, the parents need to grow up and recognize that they are trying to stunt their child's emotional growth by forcing her to deny part of herself- so that they won't feel uncomfortable.
