It’s our fault authoritarianism is on the rise.

We killed god.

Our, and we refer to those of us who believe in science.

And yes, it’s our fault.

Over and over, we kill their god. We hear the story of their sky-daddy, who is all-knowing and righteous and tells ‘his’ followers who to be and how to be, and we dismiss this notion because it has no bearing on the questions we ask.

Why?

Nothing points us in that direction.

But Christians, they love their sky-daddy. They want to please him so that he will let them in. Nevermind what we call humans who require that kind of treatment, we are talking about an invisible, omnipotent being here, so it must be right.

Christians look to their sky-daddy to tell them what to do. Now we have taken that away from them… religion is going away and more people are none’s than ever before.

People aren’t listening to (the men who say it’s) god’s will.

Well, damn it, we will have to listen to real flesh and blood people- and it’s working. Who needs a sky-daddy when we can have Earth-daddies that will take care of us??
