Listen, I loathe #45 with all of my being, but the return to civility in the white house seems to me like a veil.

I live in Trumpland- in other words, a blink of a town in rural America. The moment the american ppl didn’t get stimulus checks- as promised- was the moment the democrats lost.

Appearances are not always as they seem, so say the conspiracy theorists, and many abound on the right. And what I hear now is that the die hard Trump fans were bolstered in their belief every day that the new administration didn’t follow through on their promise. Listen to them, their news, their stories.

The rest of us were placated with the prolonged dilution and passage of The American Rescue Plan. The trumpers say we didn’t need it but they’ll take it. The not-trumpers understand how it truly isn’t enough. Both sides heard the lie that got Biden elected, that got Georgia to narrowly vote blue.

It’s all a smokescreen. My town is still the same, only more. The left is the same, watered down.

So, while the Biden administration may not be taking the bait of the fake culture war, the American ppl are definitely being lured in by the false belief that this administration is truly after the well-bring of its ppl.

Damage control. A rogue player or two might be acceptable, but when that one or two rile up the lot of us, that becomes dangerous to those who govern us. Best to appease and settle and then resume their own game.
