Somewhere In Trumpland
Very fine people on both sides…
I’m so disgusted by the democrats and the Biden administration. So disgusted, in fact, that I may even vote for Trump in 2024 if he is the republican candidate. But not any other current republican. I don’t agree with #45 about 99.9% of what he says. The man repulses me. My vote would be for the tool that he represents.
Why? Why would I vote for a monster such as Trump? It’s a simple two-part answer at the moment: Anger and Fear. First, because I can’t see past my anger at the lack of recourse available to the American people. I’m so mad that we were duped and trusted in, what turned out to be, the blatant lie that got Biden elected, by the lies that got Georgia residents to narrowly vote blue. There is no reason that each and every American shouldn’t have already received $2000 checks since January 20th. That’s what we were promised. A band-aid for a gushing gash.
But instead of upholding the social/cultural contract that we would like to believe the game is based on, the democrat officials in power- in large part- are instead playing their own game against their opponents, the republican officials. In service of maintaining the status quo. We, the people, are pawns. We bandy about, sometimes in silence, sometimes screaming and yelling, and still they are unmoved.
